7th March - Gave e-Business lectures to Sheffield University Management School MBA students.  Lecture Three "New opportunities - new threats". Lecture Four "Benchmarking global best practice".

22nd March - Gave opening address to the IoD/BT/HP/Oracle "Business Growth in the Digital Networked Economy" seminar in Reading.

3rd May - Participated in Oracle webcast on "SME's & the Future of IT".

8th May - Gave address at the BCS "Professionalism in Software" conference on "Meeting the Business Challenge".

31st May - Chaired session at the ComReg/OECD Workshop "Toward more flexible spectrum use: The digital dividend?", in Dublin.

14th June - Spoke on "Deriving maximum value from technology" at Business to Business event in Cardiff.

7th September - Judged "Computing Awards for Excellence".

24th October - Chaired the IoD Summit on "Increasing profits through Technology".

21st November - Spoke on "Preventing cascades of failure - practical advice for resilience" at the 'Survive' annual conference, London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.

3rd May - Spoke at Software Asset Management discussion forum for Finance Directors and IT Directors in London.

12th May - Judged Regional Final of National Business Awards.

1st June - Spoke at the European Telecommunications Resilience & Recovery Association "Pathways to Resilience" conference in Sophia Antipolis on "Security and resilience: An overlooked opportunity?".
